Welcome to Padiwacks Private Nursery and Childcare Centre
We would like to wish you a warm welcome to Padiwacks.co.uk Ltd. Our nursery and childcare centre is based in Padiham, Burnley. We provide quality nursery care, out of school care and an excellent holiday club. We cater for a large number of families that require all these services and provide full wrap around care for children from birth to 11 years of age.
Our nursery has been rated by OFSTED in April 2013. You can view our inspection report here or download by clicking in this link (available from late May 2013)
We are one of the eligible providers for the new government initiative to help 2 year olds get a good quality nursery education (15 hours free childcare for eligible 2 year olds), The criteria to provide this service is based on our OFSTED rating, qualified staff (including two qualified teachers) and we also actively work with Lancashire County Council (surestart) and participate in their quality standard award scheme. We believe in an honest approach and we work closely with all families to ensure that every child receives the best possible nursery education. We constantly update and train our staff so that they can provide the best childcare. Our keyworker system ensures that we focus on every unique child and you also have the added flexibility of accessing our service during the 60 hours that we are open every week (7am till 7pm Monday to Friday). We are also open bank holidays to provide you with additional flexibility.
Our baby room can accommodate 21 babies and is based on the ground floor. The baby room staff are all qualified to a minimum level 3 in childcare and the baby room team have over 50 years collective experience and ten of their own children. The baby room has been enhanced and expanded in 2012.
Our toddlers and pre-school are based on two floors and the pre-school have their own area from 9am till 3pm to ensure that our qualified staff can dedicate time to their keychildren. All two, three and four year olds also spend time together so the children get a good balance of learning and having fun with a similar age group of children. All dedicated staff are fully trained which includes qualified teachers, Level 5 & Level 4 staff. We have 24 staff that have a minimum level 3 qualification. Over 24 staff have up-to-date first aid training, including our drivers.
The out of school club has been established for over 14 years. We have our own transportation (mini bus and two 7 seaters). We plan activities and work hard to ensure that the children have an enjoyable time at Padiwacks.
Our outside area area has been expanded and further work was completed in 2012. The layout is designed to an excellent standard, covering all the areas of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Our nursery has recently been rated to a very good standard by Surestart.
We have a cook and we provide balanced healthy meals. We work with trading standards food department to ensure that we provide the correct diet for all the children that use our service. The food and hygiene rated at the highest score at padiwacks and you can view our menu’s here
We are open 51 weeks a year. Our opening hours are from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Our staff are experienced, caring and fully qualified to meet all the needs of your children.
