We're getting ready for the festive period in December 2024 and we provide care from 9 months to 11 years. Our Out of school club, including breakfast club, after school and holiday care is based on two floors. We have five rooms dedicated to the primary school aged children, including a TV movie room, games room (includes 4 x XBOX One's), arts room, large play room and games galore. This is our setting as on Sunday 10th October 2021. We are very proud of the environment we have created for the children. It is enhanced each day to create 'awe and wonder for the children. The outside development is now ongoing which was delayed due to the development of LIDL next door.

We've updated our toddler room with new wooden resources in the kitchen area, construction and play areas. We are constantly adding new resources to all areas in our setting including the baby room, preschool room and out of school clubs.

Party games and fun for all

We've had a brilliant week in our holiday club. We bought in a number of art activities including painting stones, daffodil windmill kids & wooden magnifying glasses. We've had competitions with our XBOX ONE's & Wii's. There's been team quizzes, bingo, pool competitions, dance competitions and many more. Most important is that everybody has had fun (including the staff). We also invested in a number of prizes for the children and finished off the week with a Hawaiian themed party and disco.

Caring and sharing with the BHF

We've been raising money for the British Heart Foundation on Friday 12th February 2021. We did advise Parents to pay directly to the BHF and can confirm that with the donations directly to padiwacks we also sent £25 on 17th February and every penny helps in these difficult times. The children and staff wore 'red' on the day and made necklaces, chocolate boxes, cards and our wonderful cook (donna) made heart shaped cookies for the children. Many thanks for everybody's help in making this a memorable day for the children

We're ready for the challenges in February!

We're now heading into February and we'll be focussing a bit more on PSED which is Personal, Social and Emotional Development with the nursery children. We'll be celebrating their successes with awards and certificates. In February there's a number of events including Valentines, Pancake Day and it's the Chinese New Year. You can check the newsletter on our homepage for all the February events. The headed picture shows the children forming their own pretend vehicle and although we have spent over a thousand pounds on new resources for the children in January they certainly got an awful lot of enjoyment from the empty boxes.

Keyworkers - We're part of the team

It's 2021 and we're faced with ongoing challenges. Our nursery continues to provide childcare from birth to 4 years and we're still collecting from over 16 schools in Padiham and Burnley to provide an essential service for all the keyworkers. We have over 30 NHS professional staff who access our service and many more critical keyworkers helping to keep everything going. Our trained staff form an essential part of this service and we're very proud of their ongoing commitment.

Re-development of our Padiham site

We've been re-developing our Padiham site throughout the year. We painted our building externally and internally, we've added some nice lights to the outside of our setting. Internally we've added new non-slip flooring and new carpets throughout. We've also re-developed our outside area. To complete the re-development we've added new resources in all our rooms: baby room, toddler room, pre-school and out of school care. Our aim is to provide a modern childcare setting to match all the technology we now use as part of the children's development as we head towards 2021.

Our after school care plans are now in place. The children have access to interactive white boards (burnley site). XBOX ONE's, Wii's, Wii +, arts & crafts (planned), pool, air hockey, indoor basketball competition, TV games room, hand held consoles (not just including the Wii +) and many more fun activities. Our clubs are dedicated centres and we do not share with any other clubs or activities so we can control our cleaning routines at our dedicated sites. Burnley Holiday Club

Holiday care week one - We've been out every morning in the mini bus. In addition we've had planned activities including cricket, sign language quiz, junk modelling (pictured), yoga (pictured), Wii team competition, creating fruit kebabs, growing watercress, air hockey team competition, dance class and bingo. They've had a brilliant week with a lot of positive feedback from children and parents who have only just started this week. We've got a full plan for week two in holiday care. We're one happy family at Padiwacks Burnley Bees. We've had some fantastic feedback from Parents in connection with their termly feedback. Our objective is to make sure that all the nursery children are making good progress. We have over 25 families that use our service for nursery and out of school care, including holiday club. We believe our team is one of the best qualified in the area and we have made sure that all our staff are compliant with the new Framework which starts in April 2017.

We work closely with all our Parents at Padiwacks Burnley Bees at our Day Nursery in Padiham and our Out of School Clubs in Padiham and Burnley. We inviite families (Parents and Grandparents) to our setting every Tuesday. We hold monthly Parents feedback meetings and we really do value the feedback. All parents are invited and we have made a number of changes which have been recommended by Parents. We also provide termly feedback for all nursery children in respect to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Nursery Education - 2, 3 & 4 year old's

At Padiwacks we provide nursery education for a number of children that use our service. All our three and four year old children are entitled to 15 hours nursery education. You may also be entiedl to 15 hours nursery education for your two year old. Just call us on 01282 778018 to find out more. You can use your nursery education entitlement between 7am to 7pm at your convenience over a minimum of two days.

All our staff receive first aid training and safeguarding training, We also ensure that staff are updated on relevant details relating to childcare throughout our setting.

New Fees March 2017 to September 2017

Our new fees are available on our website. Our Daycare Nursery fees start from only £30 per week. All full time weekly fees are from 7am to 7pm inclusive. All our fees include meals and snacks. All baby room fees include baby milk and wipes. There are no additional fees for children attending out of school care and all children receive a healthy meal. All holiday club fees include snacks, healthy meals, trips & transportation. The only increase is that the toddler fees have been merged with the baby room fees. We believe that we offer some of the best competitive prices in the area.

Positive Relationships with Parents & Familes

We like to keep in touch with our Parents. We have monthly meetings that all Parents can attend. We also find these meetings helpful and act on any recommendations. All Parents & Grandparents can 'stay and play' at our setting every tuesday. This gives some families the opportunity to get used to the day to day running of the nursery. We also have the termly feedback in respect to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) which will take place later on this term. We do of course provide daily feedback in the nursery and our keypersons form strong relattionships with both children and families. We are proud to be a part of the Padiham and Burnley community. We regularly visit all the local shops, carehomes and businesses with the children. We also work hard at generating charity money for local charities including Hayley's Hugs & Pendleside Hospice. We also participate in all the national charity schemes including BBC Children in Need, NSPCC & Save the Children. Introducing Healthy Breakfast Option

We're focussing on a healthy start to the day by introducing a new healthy option breakfast throughout February. This will give children an opportunity to try new meals at our setting such as homemade porridge, scrambled eggs & croissants. We'll also help the children be creative by introducing yoghurt on wheetabix and trying different variations. This is part of our Healthy Heroes initiative which is coordinated by Lancashire County Council.

Do you have a two year old and receive Working Tax Credit? Do you have a household income of less than £16,190? If so you may be entitled to FREE childcare for your two year old.

In fact there are a number of additional ways that you may be eligible for free funding for your two year old. You can phone us on 01282 778018 or just call at our setting in Padiham (next to Tescos).

We provide free funding for 2 year old's and you you choose and pick your 15 hours at any time during the week. It's your choice and we are very flexible. We will ensure that your child has a primary and secondary keyperson who will ensure that your child receives a good quality nursery education.

We have a dedicated area for our toddlers and a team that work specifically with the age group.

HOLIDAY CLUB OFFER IN BURNLEY

Our holiday club full time fees are half price for one week. You only pay £72.50 Monday to Friday (7:30am to 6pm). This is for the period 1st August 2016 to 5th August 2016.

The fees include all snacks, meals, transportation, activities and entry fees into events.. We have some fantastic activities planned during this 'offer week' which includes archery, Xplorer (Orienteering), trips to parks, face painting, interactive play etc.

Please note that all holiday club fees will be capped at £72.50 between 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday,.

Burnley Holiday Club Camp Summer 2016

Burnley Bees Holiday Club has been providing quality holiday care and after school care for over 16 years. Our sites are registered with OFSTED so you may be able to claim up to 70% of your childcare fees. The team that work with the holiday club includes six dedicated staff who work with the children throughout the year: Andrea, Natalie M, Anisah, Natalie B, Stacy & Chloe. All our staff are DBS checked, receive up to date first aid training and attend relevant courses to enhance their professional knowledge and skills, including safeguarding training. We have two sites based in Burnley & Padiham. The children from Burnley meet at St Mary's School, Holcombe Drive and are then transported to our main site in Padiham which is a dedicated childcare centre. The children have their own secure entrance directly onto the first floor. Our holiday club has three rooms where they can relax, have fun with the games room (xbox's, Wii's, TV), use our large play room and arts and crafts room. We have a safe and secure outside area covering 180 square metres, We have our own mini bus and 7 seaters so we regularly take the children on various trips. The the first two weeks in the summer holiday already includes: Manchester Science Museum, Canoeing, Archery & various other sports.

Our fees start from only £19 from 9am to 3pm and include all snacks, meals (the menu is online), transportation & activities. There are no additional fees to be paid and no hidden extra costs. You can pick and choose your sessions which may consist of morning sessions, mid-day session (9am to 3pm), afternoon session or full day. We are open six days a week (over 70 hours every week). All our fees are online.

We also work closely in the community helping raise money for charity. We recently helped make pot plants for the Woodland Care home and the children presented potted plants to every resident. The children really loved this activity and we are planning on another project for Summer 2016. We are aiming to make Summer 2016 the most exciting holiday period ever for the children. Burnley Holiday Club

We are planning on going canoeing again and the children loved this activity There will be lots of exciting opportunities including archery &orienteering. We will be visiting lot;s of parks, playing football, rounders, cricket. Our very own mini bus can take us anywhere. We pan to visit museums. Our own premises has dedicated areas so the children can chill out, play games on the Xbox's, Wii's. We can bake and make absolutely anything. Our dedicated Arts and Crafts room has qualified staff who can help create masterpieces.

We also found time during the May holidays to make plant pots for each resident at Woodside Care Home. The local community donated plants, pots and resources. The children really enjoyed this activity.

We've had a good busy week at Padiwacks Nursery, out of school club and holiday club. We have many confident young people in the nursery and we have been providing information about the development this week. It's the Padiham Duck Race & Funfair on Sunday 3rd July at the Town Hall car park. You can come along and meet Peppa & Bob. This is a great event which also helps raise money for the local community in Padiham. We hopeyou all have a great weekend.

We have been providing holiday care for children aged 5 to 11 years for over sixteen years at Padiwacks Burnley Bees. Our fees start from £19 (9am to 3pm) and include all trips, snacks, meals, transportation. There are no hidden costs. You may also be eligible to claim up to 70% of your fees because we are registered with OFSTED. Our staff are fully qualified and experienced. We have a dynamic team which look after the children and all staff have received relevant training. You can check all our information online. We have two sites covering Padiham & Burnley. All the children from our Burnley site are transported to our main site in Padiham where we have a dedicated area for holiday care which includes three rooms providing gamestations, arts and crafts and a large play area. We also have our own mini bus and we have regular trips. We've been canoeing, skiing and visited many places including: witton park, applejacks, roaming roosters, brockholes. We are aiming to make the summer 2016 holiday care period the best ever and our holiday club also has a dedicated safe secure outside area covering 180 square metres. You can come and visit our setting at anytime. We are open 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday & also 7:30am to 6pm on Saturday, Please note that we are only open on Saturday's subject to children being booked in so please phone beforehand.
