Free childcare at our Day Nursery in Padiham Burnley
FREE Childcare for your child at Padiwacks Day Nursery Burnley
PLACES ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM APRIL 2024. You can access the 15 & 30 hours FREE childcare at anytime convenient to yourself for
2, 3 & 4 year old children. We're open from 7am to 6:15pm and the sessions include healthy homemade meals.
We provide flexible childcare at Padiwacks and you use your 15 & 30 hours at your convenience from 7am to 6:15pm. If your session includes breakfast, lunch or dinner we just include this as part of your free childcare and there are no hidden costs.
You will be eligible for free childcare from the term following your child's birthday. The term dates are:-
1st January 2024
1st April 2024
1st September 2024
If you 2-year-old child had their 2nd birthday before 31st December 2023, you may be entitled to 15 hours FREE childcare today. Click on this LINK and go to the online eligibility checker via Lancashire County Council website. You then simply provide us with the code and you can get started straightaway.
From April 2024, eligible working parents of 2-year-old children will also be entitled to up to 15 hours a week.
Working parents are eligible if they earn from 16 hours a week at the National Minimum Wage and less than £100,000 adjusted net income per year. If you fall in to this category, get further details and claim your childcare entitlement code from 2 January 2024 on the childcare choices website in this LINK. Please note that the deadline to apply for your code is the 31st March 2024 to be eligible from 1st April 2024.

WILL NOT be able to get the code until you re-confirm your existing account (you normally have to re-confirm every 12 weeks).
Monitoring your child
- You will be appointed a key person who will monitor and provide feedback
- We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage throughout the setting
- All matters are handled sensitively, professionally and confidentially
- We provide structured feedback every term in respect to your child's development and can also give feedback at any time if requested
- Our qualified team includes qualified teachers, three staff qualified to level 6 and over twenty of our team with level 3 childcare
Focusing on your child & Feedback
All your child's development is recorded in their record of achievement file which you will get to keep after their nursery education. We use electronic learning journals so you can keep up to date with your child's development.
